Title: The Wrong Side Of Life
The bottle was in my hands,
I was waiting and crying.
I was angry at life,
I looked forward to dying.
No one was there to stop me,
To care and say, “Don’t do it!”
I was lonely and sad.
And scared too, just a bit.
My mom and dad
Had never tried to solve,
The problems their daughter
Had faced so long.
My life was a mess,
It won’t be simple anyway.
So the best was to end it all,
The pain and suffering of all days.
I lifted the bottle to my lips,
The phone rang.
“Don’t dear, we love you!” my mother said,
I dropped the bottle, my heart sang.
I was ready to face the world,
Be a strong mother, daughter and wife.
I had been wrong all this while,
And looked at the wrong side of life.
