Title: Joy

Joy is tying your shoe for the very first time,
Coming down the stairs on Christmas morning
And finding a little puppy all wrapped up, just waiting for you.
Joy is sleeping outside in the pitch black dark,
And seeing a shooting star and making a wish.
Sometimes to hear the sweet song of joy,
You have to feel the stinging hurt of pain at first.
Like when you're sewing and prick yourself with the needle,
But when you finish your beautiful masterpiece you stand back and beam.
Joy is when you do something for the first time,
With no one telling you how to do it.
When you're finished everyone is proud of you,
But the person that is the most proud of you
Is yourself.
