Title: My magical life

'Good morning' Hazel’s Mum greeted over the Daily Profit with a very boring headline ‘POLITICS IN THE MUGGLE WORLD’
'Morning' Hazel replied groggily as she made her way to the small square breakfast table 'Do we have any Tui Tickles Jam left?' Hazel asked looking at the silver floating tray, laden with different types of toast spreads.
'No, we’ll have to get some more down in Karaka Alley' Kei (Haze’s Mum mumbled). Hazel looked back on the tray dully and chose Wendlies rainbow peanut-butter. 'We also have to get your new school books new school…err'
'What for Mum?' Hazel asked while spreading the colourful spread onto some bread 'I mean I’ve got the whole list from Torein, you know Arianas brother' Hazel shrugged at her Mother that apparently didn’t hear a word she said. Then quietly Hazel’s Mum folded the paper and gave Hazel a stern look as though sizing her up.
'Eh noho Harera' Hazel frowned she didn’t like the way Mums voice sounded, but she sat down anyway. 'Hazel we are moving to England in two weeks-
'WHAT! We’re moving again! But I like this place and my school!' Hazel shouted in outrage, staring desperately at her Mother. At the back of her mind she was thinking about the dance that her school (Phoenicia school of tohunga makutu = wizards and witchcraft) was promising and how fun that would be. 'MUM! We can’t leave!'
'We have to, I have a place in the Ministry of Magic-'
'WHO CARES? I’VE GOT BEST FRIENDS!'
'HAZEL do not use that TONE…and bad language! around me!' with this Hazel stormed out of the room with a piece of toast half eaten, her hair lashing out behind her. How could Mum do this, Hazel thought emotionally.
'We can’t keep on moving like this!' Hazel muttered to herself running fingers through her hair 'It’s not fair!, I’ll have to make friends all over again, what will Ariana say?' Ariana was Hazels best friend at the moment. They both kept moving everywhere around the world with their parents and only met last year.
Hazel sat down tears welling in her eyes. She was now in her bedroom. All the walls were covered with posters, some of them were of her favourite band ‘NEVE’. They were moving to the edge closest to Hazel to see what was wrong, others were of her favourite Quidditch team ‘Pohunui Tanewha’s’ they were floating on their broomsticks watching Hazel closely.
Hazel turned to the window beside her bed and looked outside to the muggle house next-door and thought how much more simple it would be being a muggle.
Hazel jumped at the sound of her cat’s (Miso) bell ring as he hoped onto her bed. 'Hey puss' Hazel said cuddling into her long grey hair. Hazel hopped off her bed and chose a M.C.D (Magic Compact Disk) slipped into a flat brass disk case and picked up a small jar off her dresser and poured a small amount of sliver liquid into a small hole at the top of the brass case. Then a loud blast of music suddenly came out of every corner of Hazels room. It was her favourite song ‘ITS OVER NOW’ Hazel started dancing energetically and the ‘NEVE’ posters started playing the song silently to the music.
'HAZEL! Turn that noise down' Her mum said from downstairs, but Hazel didn’t hear her because the music was overwhelming and it made her forget everything even moving to England. Hazel suddenly remembered that ‘NEVE’ was playing in Diagon Alley!.
Hazel rushed to her dresser got out her wand she knew that she wasn’t aloud to use magic because she was under-aged but she hated packing by hand.
'Whakawhatia!' Hazel shouted. Instantly the posters rolled up and zoomed into a suitcase that was being loaded with clothes from her draw, her bed was slowly folding into a small box and her music had stopped and everything was pilling itself into another bag. Her room was alive. Hazel left her room to gather everything else around the house.

Chapter 2

'A letter for you is on the table' Hazels mum said with a pink dressing gown on and a toothbrush in her hand.
'Oh goodie!' Hazel said sarcastically as she made her way to the hovering tray. She hadn’t quite forgiven her mum yet. With ‘Makuturia marmalade’ in her hand she walked over to the table and sat down. Hazel picked up the yellow parchment letter and opened it up. It read

Dear Miss Munro, you are to be informed that your fourth year at Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry is to be a very special time because of certain events this year 'Wonder what that’ll be' The rest was a whole lot of books and one pair of dress-robes? 'Bloody Pakeha!' Hazel thought 'Not even a Kiaora or Welcoming'
'Hazel are you packed?' said Hazels mum now wearing a violent shade of turquoise. Hazel ignored her and continued spreading her toast.
'Mum I need a pair of dress robes, I will get 40 galleons out of my safe' Hazel stated. She had decided to only speak to her Mum not to answer anything she asked. 'And that will cover my books as well. I’ll go floo powder this time…err and Mum I have packed' Hazel thought that a whole day of ignorance was enough for her Mum.
'Good, well I’ve got a extra 30 galleons in my purse- '
'What! You have 30 galleons spare? Your new job must be damn good!' Hazel was so surprised that she almost slipped off her chair.
'Yes, well that’s why I want to move and well lets just say-
'Why are you all red Mum?' Hazel said with a cheeky grin. 'You have a new boyfriend ha ! wow that’s why you want to move so bad' Hazel was used to new boyfriends of her Mums. Once it was a muggle, Duran and when she told him that she was a witch he freaked and ran off making up a story that he wasn’t ready for commitment. 'What’s his name?' Hazel asked getting curious.
'David Clendon, he teaches at Advanced Magic Courses in the Ministry Department'
'Right…well when am I going to see this David Clendon? huh?' Hazel said spinning around on her chair to face her Mum.
'Well we’ll see' Hazels Mum said with a cheeky grin exactly the same as Hazels.
Hazel finished her toast and made her way to the floo powder pot on the wooden bench.
'Mum can I go to the ‘NEVE’ concert today? Please?' Hazel said with a sad puppy-dog face.
'Yeah! why not?' Hazels Mum replied dancing to silent music.
'You’re such a dork!' Hazel said through silent laughter. Hazel picked some floo powder from the pot and through it into the fire, as soon as the powder had hit the tip of the flame it turned emerald green. Before she stepped into the blazing fire she said by to her Mum and patted Arrow the family owl. Hazel stepped into the flames. It was like a warm breeze, she shouted 'DIAGON ALLEY!' and was whipped out of the dinning room and was spinning at a fast speed. Her eyes stung every time when she travelled this way so she had to shut them tight. The spinning slowed down a little bit and gradually stopped completely. Hazel got her balance and then stepped out of the Alchemy shop fire place and walked out of the shop.
Hazel was in the colourful Diagon Alley and sure enough ‘NEVE’ was on the centre platform in front of Gringotts Bank (The only type of magic bank their is). Hazels heart skipped as they started to play her favourite song ‘Its Over Now’ She ran to join the crowed. She spotted the Hot! lead singer.
'They’re really something aye?' said a tallish boy with red hair and a cheeky grin that scarily reminded her of her Mother.
'Yeah they’re great I really like them' Hazel said still facing the stage, waving her arms to the music like several members of the crowed.
'Same' said the same boy well she thought the same boy but how could it be when he was on the other side. ' By the way who are you? I haven’t seen you around'
'Hazel' she said as the song blasted into the chorus and the other boy next to her cat called.
'Really? Nice name-
'Fred!, George! Harry didn’t turn up at the grate! Sorry Fred she’s to young for you' said a women who looked as if she would be a nice women if she didn’t look so stressed 'Sorry love' she said to Hazel 'Hope they haven’t caused any trouble'
'No they were fine' Hazel replied but the women had disappeared.
The song was still playing when Hazel left to get her school books. Bergs and Bolts stationary was packed with heaps of people all wanting to get their school books so that they could go back to the concert.
'Excuse-me are you going to the Quidditch match?' asked a squatty man said with a sly smile.
'Err.. well a wanted to but I’m moving here tomorrow and that’s when its on' Hazel said truthfully.
'But you can still camp before you move into your new home can’t you?'
'Well… yes, I guess so' Hazel said knowing were this was going.
'Well then where in the arena would you like to sit?' He said with a even bigger smile.
'Ok I’ll buy them hang on I’ll just ring Mum' Hazel pulled out her wand this was not magic so she was aloud to do it under-age 'RANGIRUA!' Hazel bellowed and a small picture of her Mum came up, she was putting on make-up.
'Yes Hun?'
'Can we go to the Quidditch match?' Hazel said with a sarcastic tone.
'What brought this up?' Hazel pulled the squat man into view who smiled like every man who saw Hazels Mum, because she was part Humarie-veela (Beautiful Maori Veela) 'Oh! Him I’ve seen him three damn times this week he keeps on repeating poetry to me'
'Oh my love! I will give you the sun if it were mine and-
'Shut-up!' Hazel said pushing the man out of view 'Mum please can we go to the Quidditch match?' Hazel said putting on the puppy face again.
'Why?'
'I’ve only seen one live before and it got cancelled because some drunk muggle’s came into the arena claiming they were abducted by aliens!'
'How much?'
'How much lover-boy?' Hazel asked the Quidditch ticket seller.
'Free, anything for my lovely one- Hazel pushed him away again and looked at her mother with a hurry-up expression on her face
'I’ll think about it!'
'Ok bye Mum' and with that Hazel whispered 'Ono' And ran up to the counter pushing in front of three people since ‘NEVE’ had started to play their second song ‘THE KIDS AREN'T ALRIGHT’
'May I help you? Said a very tired man with a ripped dragon hide glove on his left sore looking arm.
'Yes, a Hogwarts fourth year book list please and…err I’m kin’na in a hurry!' Hazel said looking outside as the wet start fireworks were starting.
'Oh, another one' said the man as he walked over to a cage with bats fighting inside but they weren’t bats but ragged black books.
'err do I need one of those?'
'Yes unfortunately' He said depressingly. He stuck his arm in and pulled out a struggling book.
