The day was just right
It was warm out
The sun shone bright
It was almost time
We would be together
I thought everything was fine
I thought you'd be mine
A bad news delivery from a friend
you were breaking up with me
What hurtfull words you decided to send
Water trickled
Didn't you see
Oh ya, you decided to flee
I really liked you
Love at first sight, I guess
Maybe I caught it like the flu
But I sure thought you liked me too
