Title: Cold September Day

It had been cold that September morning, the frost was still on the grass as I walked up the stony path. The fog had just lifted so I began to see further ahead of me. I saw the valleys filled with bright red, orange, and yellow leaves beneath me. But I could only think about one thing as I stepped up to the ledge.

I looked down beneath my feet and saw a dark and endless abyss. All I could see were piles of rocks that were scattered all over the ground. Then I thought to myself, if I went through with this, would anyone even notice that I was gone? Would anybody care what had happened to me? Or would the worry? Would they care? But then I thought, would it really matter, because if I went thought with this I would never know.
