Title: Onion day
One hot summer day there was a mishap in Gecko school it was a secondary school, and there was something wrong with the children’s school lunch.
It was the hot, hot season now and the children needed some juicy, cool and refreshing thing that they can eat and eat take some bites at a time and put away in a container and it will not go bad like apples they go bad, something hard then if you drop it, it will not get bruises like apples and oranges or any fruit.
So one small boy said to the teacher in his bright, smiley way "maybe, we could have ONIONS!" miss Hagonberry
Smiled a big smile and she said loudly " that's a great idea Mathew" he grinned happily and sat back down.
It was Wednesday and Mathews idea spread around the school. When the head teacher heard about this onion idea he grinned also and said "we should have an onion day, all the people who DO like onions" emphasizing the word do "could have a free onion or three let's give them three, and then they can eat them with there lunch" Margaret tried to butt in, then the head teacher Mr Haseler said proudly "we should call this very day onion day."
So they did, they phoned the cooks and they came to work early every Wednesday (they do get paid more) they had to come in because the cooks had to scrub, peel and hand them out at lunch.
So this school was all sorted out.
