Title: My deal with The Girl

My every footstep echoed as I continued to walk down the deserted streets of Diego Martin. Millions of thoughts raced through my mind of the day that had just passed. Today was my first match in my schools First 11 team and we had lost dearly...because of me. I looked up into the sky and saw the several stars peering down onto me like the unforgiving that had watched me after the game. The end score was eight - two and I knew that five of the goals scored on our team were because of my terrible goal keeping. Suddenly a strong rough breeze began to batter against my dark skin and my shoes began to lose their grip on the road. As it grew stronger, my fear increased. At the height of its power it swept me off my feet and crashing into a lamppost. The last thing I was able to see was an extremely beautiful face looking directly at me.
When I awoke I was in the exact same place I was before. I looked around and saw that no one was there. Slowly I stood up and was glad to see that I had no cuts or any injuries.
"I was wondering when you were going to wake up," said a voice from behind me. "I thought I was going to have to kiss you smack on the lips 'Sleeping Beauty'." I spun around to see that it was the same girl I had seen before and wished that I had stayed in the ground so that she would kiss me.
"Who are you?" I said immediately although I couldn't care less.
"Wouldn't you like to know," she replied. Under the full moon night her light brown skin seemed to be as smooth as silk and her long black hair shone with beauty. I was too confused to ask any more questions so I just sat down on the road with my legs crossed. I could hear her walking up to me and sit down right next to me. She patted me on the back and then said,
"As much as I'd love to stay and chat, I am here for business." I wondered what business she could have with me.
"You'd be surprised." She then said as if she had read my mind.
"Did you just..." I began but she abruptly stopped me.
"Yes I can read minds." This was all too weird.
"What are you here for?" I asked, my head beginning to throb.
"The truth is I am here to take your soul." At that sentence I stood up form the ground turned my back to her and began to walk away. When I turned the corner though, she was standing right there.
"I'm dead serious," she said. Normally I would simply think that she was either crazy or just looking for some fun, but someone who could run around to the other side of the block in two seconds was worth giving a chance.
"What is it?" I said.
"I'll skip all the mumbo-jumbo stuff and get straight to the point," she began. "I am not a demon from hell. Those things are not real. I am a soul snatcher from another realm who is here to make you a deal. That you, Eskor Johnson, will agree to give me, Elizabeth Martinez your soul in exchange for anything you desire." She ended the whole speech with a big smile. I was not going to believe any of this.
"I know that you are not going to believe any of this, but I can prove it," she said. "Ask me to do something."
"Get lost!!" I said.
"Come on I am serious."
"Make me be able to fly." I said losing my patience with this girl.
"Done," she said and before I knew it I was hovering in the air. I screamed in horror and shouted immediately to be put back down.
"Now do you believe me?" I felt as if I had just stepped into the Twilight Zone. After I was breathing properly, I was ready to speak.
I was in the same position again. On the field in front of the goal post. I was ready to take on any thing that came. The striker from the other team came bustling down the field, keeping his concentration on the ball at his feet. The shot was heard all throughout the stands and it came to me as if in slow motion. This was going to be easy. I dived in the direction of the ball and grabbed it effortlessly. Cheers erupted throughout the crowd but I did not stop yet. Immediately, I dropped the ball to my feet and began to run down the field. I dribbled through the entire opposing side, like a hot knife through butter. I was now right in front of the goalie and my shot was unshakeable. As it went into the net, the referee blew his whistle and the game was over we had won, 10 - 1. All of my team swarmed over me like bees' giving me pats on the back and congratulating me on numerous good saves. I was the champion of the match, thanks to Elizabeth. After wards, I hurried to go and find her somewhere. She was the last person left in the stands and had her face in her hands pouring out tears.
"What's wrong?" I asked holding her shoulder. She looked up at me with bloodshot eyes and then leapt to me wrapping her arms around my shoulders.
"I've done something extremely terrible," she said still weeping.
"I'm sure it's okay," I said, "look at what you have done for me."
"Do you know what you are unable to do without a soul?" she asked me. I had never really thought about that.
"You no longer have life in you're body. You cannot imagine anything and be free happy and fun loving. You are like a zombie that only does what he is supposed to do. I am so sorry." Everything she said, hit me like a bullet in the heart. I knew there was no turning back. That is what she had said to me.
"I'm sorry," she said again. With that, she gave a quick kiss on the cheek and walked off into the distance. I will always remember her - Elizabeth.
