Title: Spins No More
I was so excited when I brought him home that day.
He was white,with a face of gray.
The first night Alex knocked his cage down.
He was fine there wasn't even a frown.
Every night he would spin in his wheel.
How was I to know that a week later he would keel.
This morning when I opened the cage door,
I learned that the hamster wheel would spin no more.
