Title: Littering

Papers, cans, plastic
Laying around with people
Stepping over and not doing anything.
More papers, cans, and plastics are being tossed.
Wouldn't anyone do anything about it,
Mother nature wondered.

Heaps of solid waste,
Getting higher and higher everyday
But no one seems to notice
The tears trickling down mother nature's cheeks.
Higher and higher the dump gets everyday.
Until it's almost unstoppable, until they notice.

For once, they seem to realize how much
Trash they throw away everyday.
Like they can see the sadness in
Mother nature's face did they alert
The others around them.

Mother nature strains to see whats happening
For once in a long time, she smiles.
Happy that they are doing something about the waste,
Happy that they are working together to stop it, and
Happy that they still care for her.
