Title: Tears
In the atrocious portrait of the battlefield,
Lies a tiny, frail body,
That of a young girl, broken by melancholy.
War has destroyed and altered her world,
Death has claimed her family,
And her dreams have been wiped out by poverty.
The child's identity was taken away,
Leaving her without a trace,
Of her individuality and race.
Her dainty frame is wracked by sobs,
Sobs of sadness and despair,
Of sorrow and fear.
One day, seraphins will take her to
a better place,
In time and space.
