Title: The Real Friend Part II
All this while I had been carrying my luggage. It was strange that none of those girls had offered to help me. I reached my dorm and took an empty bed there. I dumped my luggage and started unpacking. I was doing it slowly as I had been tired by the incredibly long journey I had taken.
Suddenly out of nowhere, a pale hand appeared and started helping me. I sincerely hoped that the hand belonged to a body! I turned and faced an equally pale girl. She was smiling at me. I noticed that tough she was not very attractive, she certainly had beautiful eyes. Yet, this girl did not interest me. She looked shabby. Not that she was dirty but she had an air around her, which informed me that she was not well off or popular. So I simply said thank you and, as a formality, asked her for her name. She looked excited even at the prospect of talking to someone which confirmed my doubt about her unpopularity.
“I am Resham. You are new, what is your name?”
“I am Sandhya and yes I am new.” I tried to look bored and tired as I was not really in a mood to talk to Resham.
“You look tired, do you want help with your luggage?” she asked hopefully. I did not have the heart to refuse her the pleasure. Also I really did need help so I agreed. Suddenly I had an idea. “listen, do you know this girl, she is really pretty and she was surrounded by many friends?”
“oh! You are talking about archana. Ofcourse she would be surrounded by friends. She is very popular.” That moment I decided to get archana to like me.
