I'm a very lucky pencil. My owner Becky dropped me on the ground and her friend Beth found me and gave me back to Becky. My ink was running out so Becky put me in a dark hole and turned a handle that made me sharp and small. I did not like to get small because that meant my life was almost over and I did not want my life to be over. Then I would not be able to see what happens in a couple years. I would not be able to see if Becky gets a new pencil. If Becky forgets to bring me to school when she has a test she might forget an answer and get one wrong. I do not think she will ever forget to bring me to school. But once she did and that day she had a test. Her friend Beth asked if she could use her pencil. Becky said she was going to use it. But when she lookedin her bag, she did not have it. She took her test and got a 100. She was so happy she found out that she did not need a lucky pencil after all but she still used it.
