Title: Friends Forever: Chapter Three; The Fight
We all had a great time working on the circus, including me. Both Amanda's group
and ours were working at each recess. Then we decided we had had enough
for a while and would take a while off from working on our act. Amanda continued
to work at every break, always saying they were almost finished. We said we
understood and left it at that.
However, after a long time without doing anything with Amanda, we started to
get a little suspicious. When we tried to tell her how we felt, she would just buy
us an ice-cream sandwich or something, almost as if she was paying us not to
say anything. We tried to tell her again and she blew up in our faces. She said
she was tired of us nagging and that all she wanted was some variety in her friends.
From then on there was absolute chaos.
Sally holed up in one corner of the playground crying, and other people that
saw her and tried to help only made it worse. I think she wanted to do something
but didn't know what so this was how she was releasing some tension. Heather
was carefully not saying that anything was wrong, that Amanda was still best
friends with us. I could tell that she desperately didn't want this to be true.
(Later on she also admitted that was the case.) I couldn't find Emily for the longest
time, until I found her talking with Regina who now knew the entire story. She
was also crying and went and sat down with Sally. At this point Colleen came
over to find out what was going on. I had a long discussion with her and afterwards
she went to talk to Amanda. This of course only made things worse. Amanda
got mad, Heather started crying, and I got angrier and angrier the worse things
got. We all went home that weekend in foul moods.
