Title: The Day Voldemort Killed Harry's Parents
It was a quiet, cool night in Godric's Hollow. Lily Potter was just about to lay her little son Harry down into his crib when she saw a green flash come out the window on the first floor, and heard a loud thump.
'Stay here, Harry,' she said as she let her son sit on the floor.
She grabbed her wand from Harry's dresser, and quietly made her way down the stairs. She gasped when she entered the living room. There, on the floor, lay her husband's lifeless body. She threw her body over his and looked up. And who should be standing there to darken the doorway but Voldemort.
'Where's the boy?' he demanded.
Lily jumped to her feet, dropped her wand, and ran up the stairs. She scooped Harry up, held him tight, and cradled him.
'It's going to be alright, Harry. Hush little baby, don't say a word, mama's going to buy you a mockingbird . . . .'
The door slammed open and Lily screamed, Harry started to cry. She let Harry sit once more, and she turned to face Voldemort.
'You're a silly woman, risking your life for a little boy.' And he raised his wand, there was another green flash, Lily's screams, and she fell.
'And now for you . . . .' Voldemort grinned, pointing his wand at Harry's head. But this time, there was no green flash, but a gold light that appeared to be in the shape of a lightning bolt. It came closer and closer to Harry's head, until it was actually on his head. It glowed its brightest, and was only a scar on little Harry's forehead.
Voldemort stared at the small boy before him, horrified. He fled, and as he ran, his powers were slowly dwindling out of him. He has been in hiding for years now, dreaming of the day he'd have revenge on Harry Potter. But for good wizards, Harry was known, from that night on, as The Boy Who Lived.
