Title: The Invisibility Cloak
It was my birthday. Skylie and Peter woke me up. I got out of my four poster and ran into the commonroom in my pajamas.
'HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JODI!' they sang together.
'Thanks!' I said with a smile.
'C'mon and check out all your presents!' Peter said.
We all sat down, close to the fire, to see what I had received.
'Those are from me and Skylie!' Peter pointed at the box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans and the Sugar Quills that I had just opened.
I continued opening the presents. I had a corsage and a note from Daniel Rickoe, my sweetheart, asking if I'd like to go to the Yule Ball with him. I smiled.
'What?' Peter and Skylie asked.
'Oh, nothing.' I said, still grinning.
I had opened packages from a few of the other Gryffindors who were my friends: a new robe, a quill, some books.
Then I finally reached the last present wrapped up in black. I pulled from it a gold cloak.
Skylie gasped. 'That's an invisibility cloak!'
I tried it on and sure enough, my body was nowhere to be seen!
'Cool!' I whispered.
'There's a letter!' Peter pointed.
I opened the envelope.
'It's from my mother . . . .'
