Title: Little Voice

I need my voice
I’ve realized this
For when I lost it
I could not speak or communicate
My world was bleak
I opened my mouth to scream
But nothing came out
I only hear the scream
Echo through my mind.

I cannot sing
I cannot make a melodious song
Like the mockingbirds do
Without my voice.
I feel dead.
I sit and stare
I can’t talk
Just listen
People must think I’m shy
I want to speak
And I try
But only silence
Comes out of my mouth.
