Title: The Lost and Found Baby Animals

One brisk, moonlit evening four baby animals - Speed the owl, Rhyme the lion cub, Choose the bird, and Shelby the rabbit - were very hungry. They tried to wake their parents, but they couldn't. They decided to go find food on their own. Soon they were in the deep dark jungle.
"Uh oh!" said Rhyme. " We're in big trouble."
"Our home is in the forest," said Choose.
"Where do we find food here?" asked Shelby.
"Look!" said Speed. "There's a big bush of raspberries over there. Let's go eat them."
So they took one step, then fifteen steps, then three more, and finally arrived at the big bush of raspberries. They ate and ate and ate until their tummies were nearly stuffed with berries. Choose looked and saw a giant house.
"Who lives in this giant house?" asked Shelby.
The answer was a giant snake. He was green with black and brown stripes and white spots. When the animals took a look inside the giant snake slithered out with his mouth opened. The animals ran for their lives.
Now Shelby had left a note on her father, Dr. Rabbit's, computer. It told him that she and her friends had gone to the jungle in search of food. Dr. Rabbit saw the note when he checked his computer.
He called together his friends, Mr. and Mrs. Lion, Mr. and Mrs. Owl, Mr. and Mrs. Bird, and his wife. He told them all what Shelby written in her note. He told them that he printed it off his computer.
"My friends, we need to rescue our children at once!" Dr. Rabbit said. For he knew of the snake living in the deep, dark jungle that enjoyed nothing better than a meal of baby animals.
Back in the jungle, Choose told his friends they must climb a tree to be safe, so they climbed up the highest tree in the jungle.
Then Rhyme said, "Let's call for Dr. Rabbit. He'll know what to do."
After that Speed "Whoooo . . . d," Rhyme "Roooaaard," Shelby "Squeeeeaaaaled," and Choose "Chirp, Chirp, Chirped" in their loudest sounds.
Dr. Rabbit and his friends were busily inspecting footprints in the mud near a large raspberry bush. The saw that all its berries were gone. They saw half of the raspberries trailing off into the thicket. Suddenly they heard four animal sounds coming from the giant tree in the jungle. They ran towards the sounds.
When they looked up into the branches of the tree, they saw their children. Then they saw why they were in the tree. The giant striped snake was slithering up the tree after them.
Mr. and Mrs. Lion grabbed the snake by the tail with their teeth. They pulled and pulled until the snake popped out of the tree. They saw him lying on the ground dead.
Dr. Rabbit and his friends took their frightened children out of the tree. Then they went back, each to their own forest homes.
The next morning the children were all together for breakfast. Mr. Lion brought them a grand meal from the forest. After they had all eaten, they talked about their adventure.
"We will never go to the deep, dark jungle again without you," they all promised their parents.
