Title: Night

Night

As night falls and shadows leap,
and all but the brave are asleep,
out of the dark there do creep,
a creature good does not keep.

This creature of fear and fright,
comes out never but in deep night.
All fear this, the bravest knight,
the peasant, farmer, child with kite.

The creature lurks along its way
as it would not do in the day,
anything that not asleep lay,
it shall take far away to slay.

The golden daylight is all it fears,
so as it comes it disappears.
As the cocks waking sound it hears,
the villagers shed happy tears.

But night comes again and again;
for night, you can not tame.

Poetry is a great way to express yourself, whether you're feeling down or on top of the world. There are many different types of poems and remember, they don't have to rhyme.
