Title: Sunrise

Sunrise

Slowly day comes,
creeping in the stillness,
silent as if not to wake
the numerous sleepers
that await its coming.
Slowly it falls
over the horizon
spilling its golden light.
The night now gone,
the sleepers yawn,
setting about the day.
The sun, not all out,
settles, as if teasing,
with its underside covered.
But slowly it raises itself,
full and powerful,
knowing its own importance.
It greets the land,
with waves of its light,
the ruler supreme,
showing off his gold,
salutations to the peasants bellow.
The suns liquid glow covering all,
till the night has vanished,
and it ultimately is day.

Poetry is a great way to express yourself, whether you're feeling down or on top of the world. There are many different types of poems and remember, they don't have to rhyme.
