Title: The Inner Soul
The inner soul - a ray of light
That single ray that leads you
right.
The pain of love - the love of pain
There is so much to lose and gain.
The summer air - the winter snow
Both of them have a certain glow.
The dawn of time - the time of dawn
Both meaningful; both quickly gone.
Strong feelings displayed like a
circus show
Stronger than she'll ever know.
Take your time but time your take
Do not make a big mistake.
Here for a day - there for a week
Do not turn the other cheek.
Live for the moment - don't
hesitate
It is a waste to always wait.
Be yourself - don't disguise
The biggest hurt is the hurt in
lies.
Games are foolish - recognize
The truth is always in the eyes.
Listen to your inner soul
It'll tell you all you need to
know.
Do your best - you will succeed
That is all you'll ever need.
The time is now - the time is right
Go out and follow that guiding
light.
This poem was written for a very special girl I met on vacation.
A Storyteller Topic - Kids Are Poets Too
Poetry is a great way to express yourself, whether you're feeling down or on top of the world. There are many different types of poems and remember, they don't have to rhyme.
