Title: Do You Know You're Dying?

Do you know you're dying?
Do you know the end is near?
Do you know you're dying?
Do you have anything to fear?
You have been there all my life.
You have watched me grow.
You have been there all my life.
But now you have to go.
You have always worshipped God.
You have nothing to fear.
Death will be a thankful release.
From all the suffering you have here.
I have thought long about what to say to you.
But what do I say to someone so dear?
I'm not sure I'd ever know what to say
Had I all the time in the world.
You have lived a long life
With many good things along the way.
You have lived a long life
But soon you'll pass away.
What will it be like once you are gone?
I cannot really say.
I know I'm not prepared though
To see you pass away.
Do you know you're dying, Grandpa?
Do you know that Death is near?
Do you know you're dying, Grandpa?
Do you know you are so dear?
That is what I'll tell you, Grandpa
That is what I'll say.
I'll tell you how much you mean to me
As I watch you pass away.
