Title: Alone In Death

The sound of death pounding the door down
The smell of fear in her heart
The glimmer of just a little hope in her eyes
The feeling of terror as she waits
Waits for him to come and take her away
She knows not where she's going
And she's robbed of her strength
As she can hear him pounding harder and harder
Until the door has come down
The berrier has been broken
It's time for her to be taken away
And it's time for her to say her goodbye's
To each one who's stood by her
But no one has been there
So she says no goodbyes
And when she looks around searching
For a sign that someone - Anyone will miss her
She finds none
No one has been with her, helping her stay calm
Wanting to see her in her last hours of life
No one is loving her, or grieving her death
Or holding her hand, telling her not to be afraid
Slowly she follows death down the long empty corridor
With no one telling her how she'll be missed
Once she's gone, she'll be forgoten
And the memories, and imprints she's left upon the earth
Will vanish like footprrints in the sand
