Title: My First Date
We passed each other in the hallways.
We gave each other a passing glance.
We never had feelings for each other.
It happened just by chance.
We started talking to each other.
More and more each day.
Until finally he worked up enough courage,
To tell me he had something to say.
“I just wanted you to know,
That I really do like you.
And I was just hoping,
That you feel the same way, too.”
“Maybe we could go out this Friday?
I could pick you up at eight.
We could go see a movie.
Maybe it could be a date?”
My heart was beating so fast.
I could barely even say “yes”.
I had been waiting for this day.
I knew I had to look my best!
The week lasted forever,
But finally Friday got here.
I was doing some final touches,
Looking into the mirror.
Then I heard the doorbell ring.
I heard someone open the door.
As I walked down the stairs,
He said, “I looked even more beautiful than before.”
As we walked out of my house,
He rushed to open my car door for me.
Then he got in and we drove away,
To go get a quick bite before the movie.
As he walked me to my front door,
I realized the night had flew by fast.
Then he leaned in and gave me a goodnight kiss.
I wished that moment could last!
I went up to my room.
I lay onto bed.
Thinking of how much fun we had.
I then fell asleep with sweet thoughts in my head.
We always passed each other in the hallways.
We always gave each other a passing glance.
But we never had feelings for each other.
I guess it happened just by chance.
