Title: The Perfect Apple Tree - Part II

She didn't know why they couldn't eat it's fruit. It looked as good as an apple. She didn't think it would hurt to just touch it. But as she touched it it fell into her hand. She waited for something to happen but nothing did, her hand didn't swell from the poison. She nibbled on it. Her husband walked up and she offered him a bite. Immediately, they were ashamed of what they'd done and how they had hurt their wise friend. The next morning their wise friend was under the apple tree waiting for them as usual, but the husband and wife didn't show up. So he went looking for them, calling them by name. He found them hiding. He knew what they'd done and tears began to roll down his cheeks as he told them they would have to leave the beautiful garden. They couldn't sit by the pool in the shade of their favorite apple tree and listen to the wonderful sounds of the garden or talk to their wise friend anymore. In sorrow, they left, heading to a new place where there wasn't a garden. The ground was hard and rocky. They tried to make things grow, but it was such a struggle. No matter how hard they worked they could not regain the trust of their dear friend. They missed him so much. It all seemed like a dream to them now. They wished they had obeyed. Their wise friend missed them too. He would sit under the old apple tree and weep for them. One day he sent his only son after them, his name was Jesus. And of course, his father was God and the husband and wife were Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve lost the relationship with God because they disobeyed. But we on the other hand have a choice. Our choice is to obey the voice of our creator. Hes calling you to be His best friend. He wants to walk and talk with us daily. Will you let Him? God Bless!
