Title: The Gargoyle's Demise

As I walked into the cave, the tiny hairs on my arms rose beneath my armor. I could hear it breathing, feel it's eyes on me. Notching an arrow to my bow, I strained to see through the fetid darkness. There was a gentle murmur and rustle, like bat wings. I could feel it tense in the darkness, ready to pounce.I had one shot, at best. This was my chance for revenge. As it hurled itself at me, fangs bared, I remembered my father. Spinning quickly, I aimed, and watched as the arrow tore through the demon's throat. It dropped mid-leap and twitched, then lay still. Settling my bow accross my shoulders, I spat upon the corpse and walked out into the sunshine. Finally, my fathers soul could rest peacefully.
