Title: Confusing Existence
if you could see me
what would you think?
is this a girl, who's on the brink
of going crazy, out of control
i need my freedom
to have, to hold
you tell me no and so i stay
but deep inside i've gone astray
my life is changing
no longer a girl
but a woman growing up
in this crazy world
i need to breathe
i need my space
i feel completely out of place
my mind's a mess
i'm in a daze
you look at me and think i'm strange
you're right you see, i am a bit odd
but unlike most, i believe in god
no longer sure of who i am
no one here to take my hand
to tell or show me where to go
its up to me now, friend nor foe
you tell me what i do is wrong
how much longer can i carry on
to live this life thats passing by
you wake each day and wonder why
why am i here, what do i do?
do i spend my moments thinking of you?
where you are, what you do?
shouldn't you be here?
have i misunderstood?
i want to fly away, have no fear
i gasp for air, but its still here
make up my mind, take my time
one or the other might be right
thats just me, slow as a bone
tell me to catch up and i'll ask for a throne
if you laugh, then i will too
laughing's what i love to do
concentration is still vacating
while my brain is compensating
for this life, i call my own
i might be here now
but someday i'll be gone.
