Chapter One

Sylvia looked up from the old book she had been found in the attic. The cover was torn, showing only the word 'Dragon', but the contents were all intact, and the words she'd read about small eagle eyes, huge wings and the ability to breathe fire and sand, made her look across the back yard to the forest where her Grandfather used to roam. The book had been his, and he used to take it with him when he went for his nightly walks.
'Yeh, like dragons are real!' she thought, putting the book beside her on the bed. She lay there as darkness came, thinking about all she had read.
'I'll phone Kira and see what she thinks.'
