Title: The Chinese Fireball

Chapter Five
When they were about two miles into the forest in Sylvia's back yard, Kira stopped her bike. 'Where are we?'
'Well, the map says that this is the Enchanted Forest,' Sylvia said.
'Zat's right!' came a voice out of nowhere.
'Who's there?' screamed Kira.
'It zis me!'
'Who?'
'Slinter!'
'Show yourself!' yelled Sylvia.
'Oh, but if I show myself, you will capture me and feed me to the Chinese Fireball you are looking for.'
'How do you know we are searching for the Chinese Fireball?'
'Well, you see, my dear, our kind can read minds,' responded Slinter.
'Oh, I think I know what you are,' said Kira wisely.
'And what would that be, smarty?'
'You're a three-headed frog! The Chinese Fireball's favorite food is three-headed frogs, and that's why you are hiding. We must be getting close.'
With that Slinter slipped from his hiding place and scurried farther into the woods. 'Be careful,' he called back, 'no one can out run the Chinese Fireball.'
