Title: The Chinese Fireball

Chapter Seven

Sylvia reached over and shook Kira. 'Wake up.'
Kira rubbed her eyes. 'Yawwwwwn. Where are we?'
'According to the map, this is Dragon Stone Cave.'
'It's so dark in here. Where are the birds?'
'When they discovered we were on their backs, they flew over here and dropped us off before they took off again.'
'But what are all those yellow dots over there?'
'They're eyes belonging to creatures that look like bats but their ears hang down, and their necks reach out about five feet. Don't go too close because they bite. See.' Sylvia held out her arm to show Kira the scratch.
'Oh, okay.'
'But just before you woke up, I heard a high pitched screech. I don't know what it was,' said Sylvia, taking out an apple to munch on.
'SSSSSCCCRRREEEEEEECH!'
'There it is again.'

Chapter Eight

'Is it the Chinese Fireball?'
'No, look.' There was an opening in the cave, and in the center of it was a miniature oval-shaped creature with two powerful wings sticking out of each shoulder. It started walking towards them.
'It's a baby Longoria Gondada,' exclaimed Sylvia.
'How do you know that?'
'I researched a bit, too - just in case. I think we should run because the book said Longoria Gondadas spit out poison. Hurry! It jus spit out some orange liquid.' the girls ran until they could run no more. When they stopped, they saw burned leaves and claw marks all over the walls.
'Bigger dragons must live here, too,' thought Sylvia, 'a baby dragon couldn't have done all that by himself.'

To be continued
