Title: PAIN
The only thing I could feel was pain,
I vanished into a cloud of tears,
Where I weeped at the images emerging out of
nowhere in front of me,
Images of cruelty,
Of bitterness,
Of truth,
And of lies,
I could see a million faces, staring poverty
in the eye,
Staring down discrimination,
Staring down injustice,
Loneliness,
Fear,
Death,
And I wished I were a million miles from
here,
Each image brought another moment of anguish,
How could fellow man let anything like this
happen?
I bit my bottom lip and cried in agony,
We were all a people together,
Yet all we did was turn away from the less
fortunate,
Swirls of sorrow assailed me,
And I fell into a deep sleep,
Waiting for the world to right itself again,
Because all I felt now was...
PAIN...
