Title: Icy Castle Chapter 1- The Family
'Beep! Beep! Beep!' I opened my eyes. Seven o'clock already? I turned off my alarm and walked slowly towards the kitchen. My mother was up as usual. You see, my father died when i was eight. My mom does all of the work now. My brothers and I help. I have three of them. Andrew is sixteen, Ryan is fourteen, and Sean in ten. Then there is me: thirteen year old Kara Nancy Bennett. We live in a small house in Riverdale, Conneticut. It is summer vacation now. We all have a summer job (except Sean) to help pay the bills. Now let's get back to the story.
'Morning sunshine! Ready for breakfast? I made fried eggs.' She put a plate full of eggs on the table. 'Help yourself.'
Thanks Mom. I am really hungry.' I eat my eggs faster than you could say 'I'm hungry!'. Well....maybe not that fast, but you get the picture. I walked upstairs to take a shower and get dressed. When I came back downstairs, all of my brothers were there, dressed, and eating away. 'Bye you guys! I'm leaving for work early.'
'Why?' Sean asked with a mouth full of food.
'oh...just because MY BOSS GETS REALLY MAD IF WE'RE LATE! I just want to be safe.'
'Good bye sweetie.' My mother kissed me on the forehead.
'Bye!' I left. I was off to another day of work.
