Title: Icy Castle Chapter 2- Kara's Job
'Good day Kara.' My boss walked up to me, 'I am pleased you made it on time today.'
'Thank you Mr. Kocks.' I answered. I walked over to the counter. I worked at an ice cream store called 'Icy Castle'. The store was shaped as a castle with a big sign made to look frozen on it. It said 'Icy Castle- a place where fantasy comes to life.' I thought it was pretty strange, but Mr. Kocks says 'It is not strange. I made it up and it is unique!'
I work for six hours a day, two days a week. I don't really like my job because it is always cold inside, I don't have a lunch break, Mr. Kocks is really mean, and I don't get paid enough. I haven't quit yet because we have been running out of money, ever since Dad died. I had to stay at the Icy Castle for Mom's sake. 'Stop daydreaming! Honestly Kara, you have customers!' I jumped up. There was Angelica Kocks, Mr. Kocks's daughter. She was standing there puffing up her silky blond, bouncy hair. She was wearing a strapless green sparkly shirt, a black mini skirt, and four-inch heel boots. She was the only worker at Icy Castle who didn't have to wear a uniform (Navy blue saying 'Icy Castle' and white pants).
'Ok, ok!' I said angrily,'Whatever you say.'
'You are so inmature Kara. Someday I'll get you back for everything you have ever done to myself and my loving daddy. I promise you that!' She walked away.
