Title: The sea: I fear it I love it!
Taking the ferry to France and strolling along the midnight deck I realised why I feared the sea so much. It's great depths hold the most scary possibilities and creatures. The fact that it holds so many secrets no one knows that scares me.
The whale for example no bigger living creature on this earth. That bulky power skulks the seas what must seem shallows to them.
Sharks jelly-fish and who knows what else . The mystery of it all can often be the scariest thing of all. Yet the sea is not a sneak nor is it sly iy points out where it is dangerousit is honest cruel but honest however it will play dirty.
But perhaps the scariest thing of all is the way in which the sea devours our coastline and what if one day it will gobble up all our coatline and bring nothing back up. Afterall what of the underwater city's were they not once unaware of the seas capability?
But then the sea is beautiful it's blue lagoons of water which look like a magical solution. Constantly warm like a tepid bath which would never cool. Clear and unsuspicious.
And no the sea is not devious nor cruel but simply what it is. The love I have for swimming in it a shallow mini sea surrounded by safe islands cocooned from the seas anger and whipping frustrations in the seas little bursts of joy.Paddling your toes in the licking sea as you realise you are in a safe haven.
But the deeper you get the more dangerous afterall it has given you the best parts of yourself yet we as human beings tresspass through curiosity.
Even though the sea has blessed us with heavenly lagoons filled with a select panel of undangerous [ingeneral] creaturesfor our enjoyment.
Rockpools loosely dotted crevises of imagination colour and camoflague. The sea tried to strike a bargain but we abuse it with poison and take it's lives ie dolphines for no reason like plucking the jewels from the crown. We have begun to belive that the sea is in fact ours when it really belongs to itself and the creatures which live in it are we not purely ungrateful.'the cruel sea' perhaps the sea is just fighting for the sentiments and eye for an eye.
