Title: Angels-chapter 4
It was time, music was blaring in Jenn James's ears. I was already getting a few shifty looks from the opposition but then again Jenn got them off most teams except mine.
You probably are wondering why I am getting looks but I am the only feamale girl in the local league who plays football and even better and they haven't witnessed this yet but according to her team the Angels Jenn is great.
This weas their second match against the Wallabies.
Already Jenn could feel the pressure crushing my shoulders. One loss and we were out the league and she knew that she would be the route cause in their eyes.
'Nervous?'
Max grinned.
'A bit but we'll do this as we have in practise.'
The ref whistled.
'Kick off.'
Jenn took easy control of the ball
and passed to Patrick who dribbled perfectly. A quick pass back and she shoots and scores.
1-0.
'Yes.'
Max said.
Jenn grinned modestly.
Then they were playing again.
A wallaby took the ball and Carl tackled and passed to Max. What followed was the nroaml passing and action and as Jenn scored another goal as she popped neatly into the net.
'Good one!'
'Thanks!'
'Don't mention it.'
Carl yelled.
It was late in the match when the foul took place, as usual on Jenn guess why?
It was a classic as Jenn was raedy to pass to James a flick of the foot and jsut their luck the ref wasn't looking.
I rubbed my knee gingerly. By now my team was near last time I ended up with a twisted ankle
'Watch it...'
The team began but a Wallaby cut in.
'Or what? You'll paint my nails.'
James was ready to commit a few more fouls but I grabbed him along with Carl.
'Chill James. Leave it. Let's play.'
'No forget it. It was a foul.'
'James. I'm used to it. I'm not hurt so let's leave it. Look the ref is coming now we'll tell him...'
'Why are you not playing?'
'I fell over um..a....a..'
'Person's foot.'
James sulked.
'Preposterous.'
The red in the face ref said.
'We did wel I did,'
A wallaby said shocked by how Jenn was so calm they had hoped for tears etc.
'Well thematch is nearly over so you are booked for the next match.'
'We won.'
James grinned and so did everyone.
