Corsair stood silently outside of the king’s throne room, waiting for word of why he was summoned at this hour. The huge brass doors clambered open and out stepped the king’s personal messenger. “General Corsair! The king has asked me to inform you of some very grave news. An army of Demons led by the Larrikin himself approaches. It is less than three miles from the castle.”
Corsair looked the messenger in eyes, staring in disbelief. “What does he need of me?”
The messenger met his gaze with a solemn look on his face, “The children are in great danger Corsair. We are preparing for a massive attack. The king will speak with you now, there is no time to spare.”

Corsair met with the king in his chamber room, just below the beautifully crafted throne, emblazoned with the pale blue Gramrock emblem, a lion standing on a mountain with the sunrise to his back.

Meanwhile, the Queen stood in her room weeping as her children were being taken from her by the royal guards. There was nothing she could do, for the king had ordered the children to be taken away to the safety of the Senobian in Moorland. She handed the children to a tall guard, who took one in each of his arms and carried them out the door. She walked back to her window, and peered out into the dark night. In the distance she could see a red figure floating above an army of fierce Demon warriors. At that moment she realized her end was near, and fell back into her bed weeping.
