Title: prologue continued 7

Corsair rolled when he hit the ground, and jumped up in time to see Edres fire a spell at the Larrikin. The red wave bounced off of its dark body. He was now reaching for the children. As the creature’s hands neared them, Corsair felt a surge of power at his side. He look down and saw the sword of Gramrock pulsing with blue light. He pulled it from his belt and held it up, staring in amazement at the waves of cool blue light flashed upon the sharp blade. He stalked toward the Larrikin, who had already taken one of the children into his arms, and was reaching for the next. Corsair was close enough now that he could strike the beastlike man. He slashed at his back; the blade sending sparks flying as it sliced through the dark flesh, this time not mending itself. Corsair could feel the power surging through him as he swung again at the howling Larrikin. The blade missing it’s now running target.
The Larrikin escaped from the wall of magic, along with one of the golden children tucked away in his arms at an astonishing speed. The mages could not follow, for they would be easily murdered by the Firebrand. They could simply watch as the Larrikin changed itself back into a human form, began to levitate, and raced off, back toward the castle. sorry i couldnt fit more...maybe i'll be famous someday, and this will be published. otherwise, you just get to hear my prologue...thanks for reading
