The tales of Gulliver
Chapter one
shipwreck

Gulliver, the ship surgeon was sitting in his cabin writing about the days adventures. He was squinting in the dim light produced from his candle. His writing was scruffy and uneven because of the swaying of the ship due to the up coming storm.

The passengers on the ship were just recovering from the last storm witch had caused them to loose a lot of the crew. there where burly enough men left to maintain the ship.

The storm that was brewing up was going to be bad for Gulliver no matter what. For if he did not get injured or drown he would have to work extra hard to help the people that did.

The ship was reeling quite ferociously now and the men aboard the ship were beside themselves with trepidation. What ever was up? Gulliver thought. He rushed out side to see what all the commotion was about. Suddenly the ship gave an astronomical lurch and threw at least twelve men over board taking Gulliver with it. He felt the ice cold water rise over his head. He tried to draw breath but salt water filled his lungs making him sink deeper into the sea. Water was flooding through his mouth and in to his lungs at an alarming rate. he started to feel dizzy and his very brain felt waterlogged. A dark shadow floated over him, He looked up to see what it was. hastily he grabbed hold of it and pulled his head out of the water. The thirst breath he took was like the thirst breath of life. The cold night are was making his face sting. He gulped down the air as if he had never breathed properly before.

Gulliver shook his sodden fringe out of his eyes. he clung on tightly to the piece of derbies that had just saved his life. It was floating fever away from the shipwreck. He kicked his legs hard. His vision was getting foggy and he didn’t think that the land in front of him was In existence. Then his feet touched land. Gulliver couldn’t subscribe to it. He waded wearily to the shore and collapsed in a heap on a near by rock.
