Violet ddin't sleep that night so she took her mobile phone and crept out.
She phoned Jade first.
'Hello?'
Jade sleepilly answered.
'I hate it here I wish I was back home with you.'
'Violet?'
'Yeah. My room mates wnat to make my life hell and I have to do jobs for thsi agent guy who is so mean I put one too less sugars in his tea and he went ballistic. If I tell my parent's they'll..'
'Forget it. You promised.'
'Jade we are talking life or death here, I cannot cope much longer. I want to be cool again.'
Jade yawned.
'Just..I don't know. Violet listen you can't call me at this time now on.'
'Not you too. Everyone hates me.'
'I don't but it is three am! Maybe Jamie is up? Keep on trying Violet you'll make it.'
'I'll try. Bye.'
But Jade had already hung up and Violet was taling to a cold hard beep. Dialling another number Violet kicked a pine cone.
'Wassup?'
Jamie grinned.
'It's me.'
'Vi? Great to hear from you how is it?'
'Terrible.'
'You'll be okay. Look can you call anotehr time. I am busy.'
'You've never been before.'
But Jamie had hung up and Violet felt so alone she sunk to the muddy ground and wanted to cry. She sudden;y heard voices and hid.
'So B how is the new kid?'
'Usual baby.'
'Give her a break.'
'Mrs Frien told me to be extra tough. Apparently she is keeping stuff from ehr parent's so I told everyone to be really tough and I spoke to Maxine earlier and she had got Sasandbridge's mate's phone numbers. I called them and told tem to stay away from thee girl or else. I think I found out that kids like them are too easy to scare.'
'You think she will explain soon.'
'She had better.'
Everything made sense for Violet again was being decieved to talk and she could not get any more alone fir her closest friends wnated nothing to do with her because of this camp.
In a rage Violet kicked an apple fallen from a tree viciously and unfortuantly it hit B.
'Oi! Who is it?'
