I looked away for a moment and then I looked back and he was gone. That's right. Gone. I couldn't beleive it. How could Malfoy and those two cronies of his get away that fast? It seemed impossible. But I had no time to ponder it because Hagrid stepped out of a shadow and directed all of us into boats. It was then when I felt something gross and slimy on my foot. I screamed and kicked my foot and Trevor went flying into the air. I dove down and started wiping my foot off with my shirt. It was soooooo nasty. Neville screamed and ran to save his precious toad. Everyone bursted out laughing and it took a while to get them to calm down. I must say, this day was turning out to be quite fun. Well, except the toad part of it. As we got into the hallway a professor came up and started talking about the sorting ceremony. I wasn't really listening. I was too busy looking around and trying to figure out who I knew and who I didn't. Well actually, I didn't know any of them except Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Then the professor left and I knew what was going to come next. A skinny boy with sleek blonde hair was walking over. I decided that I would play a little trick on him as soon as he got close enough. As he was walking over I leaned over and whispered in Ron's ear,'Watch this.' As soon as I said that I stuck out my foot and Malfoy tripped over it. I stood up over him and said, 'Excuse me, I do believe you just stepped on my foot.' 'I didn't step on your foot, you git!' He yelled angrily. 'Geez, sorry.' Yeah, right. I wouldn't say sorry and mean it even if my life depended on it.
