When all of the sudden it shouted,'GRIFFINDOR!!!' I could have screamed I was so happy. I quickly took the hat off and ran over to the Griffindor table and sat beside my older sister,Amy. She said,'Hey wayta go! You made it and you didn't even hurt yourself in the process!'
'Shut it Amy!' I quickly snapped back.
'Sorrrrrrry! I was just congratulating you.'
'Well, don't!!!'
'Ok. Fine. I won't.'
'Good.'
'Good.'
'Fine!!!'
'OK!!!!' By then all the students were sorted. Dumbledore stood up and said simply, 'Let the feast begin.' At this, food poppped out of nowhere! It just appeared on the plates and everyone started eating at once. So I figured that if everyone was eating it, it must not be that bad. And I was right. It was delicious! We all ate,and ate, and ate until we couldn't eat any more. After everyone was through, Dumbledore stood up and said,' Prefects, please lead your house to thier dormitories.' So all of the Gryffindors followed Percy up the stairs and to the portrait of the Fat Lady. Percy said the password, and all of the first years had to stand around and listen to Percy drone on and on about the rules and the off-limits and the dormitories. After he finally finished, he told us all to get to bed, like it was our fault that he kept us up talking! Life's not fair. I guess we have to learn to live with it. So I went up to my dormitory and unpacked before I got into bed. I unpacked EVERYTHING. I even unpacked my two posters that I brought. One of Mia Hamm, and the other of a really cute golden retreiver in shades.(In case you didn't know Mia Hamm is a really good soccer player.)And picture this, in the shades is a reflection of an American flag. At the top of the poster are the words,'FOREVER LOYAL'. It's really cool. After looking at the posters for a while I snapped out of whatever I was into and changed into my nightgown. I jumped onto my bed, got comfortable, and fell fast asleep dreaming of tommorrow and the challenges it would bring.
