Title: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle

Avi The True confession of Charlotte Doyle
232 pp.

Charlotte is on the Seahawk and is the only female passenger. She is a proper young lady who thinks it isn’t proper to sail with only men. A stow away is an old passenger and gets killed later in the book. Charlotte decides to become one of the crew. The captain is mean. He deceives Charlotte. The crew will take her in if she climbs to the royal yard, which is 130 feet up in the air. Charlotte whips the captain. She doesn’t like the captain anymore. The book has a lot of suspense in it.
