Title: Cory's Journey, Chapter 1
Cory awoke in his bed from the sunshine's light pouring through the window.
Cory yawned and said excitedly, 'Yay! Today's my birthday! I'm ten now!
That means I can get my first Pokémon! No time to waste; gotta get to Proffessor
Oak's lab!' Cory jumped out of bed, got dressed into a shirt with a Vaporeon
on it, jeans, and got his favorite Pokémon cap, and put it on his head. 'I'll
just put my badges on this. I have no other place. Now, where'd I put that thing?'
Cory asked himself. He picked up a little pouch from the ground and put it
around his waste. He knew he could put great use into it. 'I'll put my Pokémon's
Pokéball's in it, I guess. Oh, and my Pokédex. That is, if I ever get one,'
Cory said. He just decided to bring his backpack just in case he had extra items he
would find on his Pokémon quest. He had no items just yet, so he would buy
some at a Poké Mart in the cities all over Kanto. He jumped downstairs,
and his mother greeted him. His brother, Zeth, just said, 'Pika pika!' Pikachu
was his favorite Pokémon. He was only eight, so he just couldn't get a Pokémon
yet. When he started, he wishes to have a Pikachu as his starter.
