Title: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle

Avi The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle
226 pp.

A thirteen year old girl brought to trial and was guilty. Charlotte Doyle has been accused of murder. This all took place during the summer of 1832 on a ship called the Seahawk. She is stuck in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with a mean captain with a very bad temper. This is the worst voyage she has ever taken. She is terribly frightened. She is in a world of hurt. How would you like it if you were the only girl on board and the only passenger? She runs into a lot of problems. I think I would rate this at a level 5. You should read it. Go to your library and check it out.
