Title: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle

Avi The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle
232 pp.

The characters in this book are Charlotte Doyle, Captain Jaggery, Zachariah, Charlotte’s father, Mr. Grummage, and the crew. This book took place in the 1930’s aboard a ship called the Seahawk. The only way I know how to describe this book is that on the front of the boat there is a hawk that is white and his tongue is sticking out of his mouth, and he has red beady eyes. Whenever somebody hears the word Seahawk or the name Captain Jaggery they run away. Charlotte is the only girl on the ship.

I rate this book a five! It is a very good book! I’m not going to tell you much more about this book your just going to have to read it to find out more about it. I look forward to reading this book in school. The only bad thing is, is that you can only read a chapter a day. Part one of the book isn’t very good but part two rocks! I recommend this book to all readers.
