This book starts off at Europe. Charlotte Doyle is going on a ship that her father works for. This man, Mr. Grummage, takes her to the place the ship is. The first time she sees him she trusts him because of his looks. When they got there he told her to go on the ship. She asked him why he was not going and he told her just because he wasn’t. She said she would be alone. He said there would be more family’s coming. She asked people if they were getting on and they said no way and not even if you would pay me. She asked why they wouldn’t get on and they all said because of the captain. She said she wanted to meet the captain. Right then and there she made a mistake.
This is part 2 of The True Confections of Charlotte Doyle. Zechariah dies because he got beat to death. He was old and was friends with Charlotte. Also Mr. Holley Brass gets stabbed and they think Charlotte did it because Zechariah gave her a dirk and that was in Mr. Holly Brass’s back. They also think it was her because her handkerchief was in Mr. Holly Brass’s hand. So Captain Jagery put her at the bottom of the ship witch is the jail for them. One of the things I forgot to tell you is Charlotte joined the crew and cut her hair and wore men’s clothing. That was her apology to the crew.
