Title: Goodbye
With tears of mourning in your eyes
You beg for me to stay.
But I will never trust you again
After you betrayed me this way.
I thought it was a game
You and me, me and you,
Something that would never harm;
And you played me like a fool.
You sent by my way all
The problems that exist.
And I stumbled, darkness falling,
In that horrifying mist.
The mist of lust, hatred, malice,
Blanketed my mind.
There's no way out, was what I thought,
But I had yet to find,
That to admit my failure
And openly confess,
That I had sinned and failed the Lord
Would clear up this whole mess.
I saw you as you were, Sin,
A dark a dreay thought.
That sneaks within the minds of men,
And within pain you wrought.
That Holy Light has revealed you,
I know who and what you are.
And my life has just begun again,
And this one you shall not mar.
So, tearful Sin, I know your plot,
To steal my soul then fly!
But your fake tears hold no sway over me;
Goodbye Sin.
Goodbye.
