Title: Trading Places
There is a very rich and successful, American businessman who is a very devout Catholic. Ever since he was a kid, his secret desire was to meet the Pope. So, he gets assigned a client on a business trip to Italy. While he's up there, he figures he could go to Vatican City to meet the Pope. So, the Pope is walking up and down in front of the place where he's giving mass, and greeting people as he walks along. So, sure enough, the wealthy American businessman is there. He's all dressed up in his best clothes thinking, 'Now's my chance to meet the Pope.' The Pope walks out and he's walking in the guy's direction, but he goes over to talk with the guy a few spaces down. Then, the guy notices a poor looking man a ways down the aisle who looks like he's a poor beggar who just walked up off the street. So, the Pope goes over and talks to the guy.
Then the man realizes, 'I shouldn't have tried to show off my wealthiness, when that poor man has almost nothing to wear. The Pope likes to greet those who are not prideful.' So, the businessman walks over to the guy and he says, 'Hey, I'll pay you $100 if you'll trade clothes with me.' So, the guy switches willingly, and they trade spots. So, the businessman is thinking, 'Oh, the Pope's coming back up this way, and when he sees me, he'll talk to me and give me his blessing.' So, the Pope, sure enough walks over, and he says to the guy, 'I thought I told you to get the heck out of here.'
