Title: I Met At Dawn

I Met At Dawn

I met at dawn the Princess of Dreams,
Hers was a still and gentle face.
She floated through the stars that gleam,
Dark, yet full of grace.

Her gown was black of midnight,
About her head a cloudy crown,
Pure white and very bright,
Against the darkness of her gown.

Her olive feet some slippers bore,
Her eyes shone grey like stars,
Faint lights luminate her steps before,
Changing shape and flying afar.

Her house is in the perfumed clouds,
Not with bricks or solid walls,
But with misty moonlight and rows
Around of fiery balls.

From her pools of royal blue,
Fair fountains, sparkling, rise,
Bubbling like a delicious brew,
That no one will despise.

I met at dawn the Princess of Dreams,
Hers was a still and gentle face.
She floated through the stars that gleam,
Dark, yet full of grace.
