Title: God's Lesson
I know that God is watching me,
From his heavenly throne above,
He's helping me learn what I cannot see,
That the world is not all love,
I've finally caught His reasoning,
I understand it all now,
Our world is made up of what WE bring,
It's made up of what we allow,
It took two different stories,
To make me realize it was God,
In the future we may share His glory,
But for now, we have a fake facade,
The first of these was a friend,
Who became a stranger to me,
He made me realize there's never an end,
No matter how awful it may seem,
He dealt with his life on the line,
And really made me see,
How lucky I was for a life like mine,
How lucky I was to be me,
He was always threatened,
By one who was supposed to love,
God will find ways to mend,
These flaws; in his kingdom above,
The final one hit me so hard,
Her tears a new sight to me,
I realize that she was scarred,
With pain that is more than skin-deep,
She found out in a public place,
That her Mom was going over-seas,
Her Mom's life will then be a race,
Of our enemies killing as they please,
Her step-father's careless comment,
Pained her deep within her heart,
The only comfort was God-sent,
But the pain continued to smart,
So God taught me a lesson,
One that I needed to know,
Never to hate my life again,
And to erase the hate I show,
