'No, no, please, have mercy...'
The cloaked figure advanced on Lily. An icy cold voice spoke from under the hood.
'Give me the boy.'
'NOOOOOOO! Not Harry...'
'Give him over or DIE, Potter.'
At that moment, a voice spoke.
'Were you looking for me then?' James was standing in the doorway.
The dark figure spun round. James disapparated.
'Down here!' his voice echoed up the hallway.
The figure swept out of the door and down the stairs. Relief, sweet, warm relief swept over Lily. But it turned quickly to horror as she realised what would happen to James. She then felt another blast and saw a blinding flash of green light illuminate the house. Evil laughter rang through the walls. The murderer was coming back upstairs to finish where he left off.
